Rooms

The property has 160 spacious and comfortable guest rooms and a small number of deluxe cabins. Guests stay in either the Kodiak Lodge or the Denali Lodge. Rooms are spacious and include two queen beds or one king bed, TV, telephone, coffee maker, hair dryer and private bathroom. The cabins offer a more secluded accommodation, boasting a wilderness viewing deck and separate living area.

Location

The lodge is located at the very edge of Denali National Park, a sprawling expanse of pristine wilderness. Here, you’ll find taiga forests, high alpine tundra and a range of snowy mountains that includes Denali, North America's tallest peak at 6,190 m (20,310 ft). You can see large and small mammals, including moose, herds of caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and majestic grizzly bears. During the warm summer months, it’s also home to 160 species of birds, like clever ravens and soaring golden eagles.

The lodge is located at mile 238 on the Parks Highway, which can be reached by train, car and coach transfer. The Alaska Railroad’s Denali Star Train runs between Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Food and drink

The Alpenglow Restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere with views along the Nenana River and a menu that spotlights new American cuisine with a focus on Alaskan seafood, all-natural meats, and seasonal fruits and vegetables. You might prefer to relax with a hand-crafted cocktail and a selection of creative bites and appetisers at the Peak Spirits Lounge.
