When is the best time to visit Antigua?

The best time to visit Antigua depends on your budget and weather you’d prefer. Antigua enjoys a warm, tropical climate year-round and in general it’s drier and less humid than most other Caribbean islands. Its proximity to the Equator means there’s little seasonal variation.

The driest months are January to April, making them the busiest, with hotels booking up quickly. The temperature is very pleasant, normally sitting in the mid-twenties. There’s more chance of rain from May to August, but this usually consists of shorter bursts of tropical rain. Prices during this time of year are often very attractive and temperatures are warmer, around 25°C to 31°C.

The wettest months are September to November, but there are usually still plenty of sunshine hours in the day, with temperatures in the late twenties. The official hurricane season falls between July and November, although the risk of hurricanes is very low. There are also tropical storms in the Caribbean region during this period.
