Casa do Amarelindo

Superbly located in Pelourinho, the historic centre of Salvador, this charming hotel occupies a fully restored 19th century building. Furnished to high specifications, with flat screen televisions and wood floors, it has the added advantage of sound insulation for both windows and doors which shuts out the noise from the lively cobbled street below. The hotel offers 10 rooms, with decoration inspired by the Bahian colonial culture with a touch of African influence.

Boasting a mini fitness centre and solarium, a small swimming pool and rooftop bar with breathtaking views over the Bay of Todos os Santos, a restaurant that spills onto the patio, wonderful 'home style' cooking using local ingredients and a bar stocked with local premium brand cachaças, you are well placed to relax and enjoy the experience that is Salvador.
