Raffles Hotel Le Royal
Raffles Hotel Le Royal is one of the finest hotels in Cambodia, and is evocative of a bygone era. Built in 1929, this colonial landmark has had an interesting past and clientele, from well-known journalists reporting on Cambodia's raging civil war to distinguished royalty, as well starring briefly in the film, The Killing Fields.
The hotel's original wing is accompanied by a more recent addition, which accommodates tastefully appointed guest rooms and suites set around manicured gardens and attractive swimming pools. There's also a spa, sauna and steam room, allowing guests to truly relax. In the evening guests can dine on Cambodian and French cuisine in the elegant on site restaurant, while the famous Elephant Bar is the perfect setting for an aperitif and a chance to soak up the colonial charm.

Landmark rooms are located in the main building for added convenience, while State rooms overlook the swimming pool or tropical gardens. All are tastefully decorated, combining traditional Khmer and art deco themes.
Suites vary in size and design. Balcony Suites are set in the corners of the hotel and are a similar size to Colonial Suites, both offering vintage furnishings and balconies. Executive Suites are more spacious, featuring a living room and kitchenette, while Landmark Suites are larger still and individually named to honour Cambodia's history. The 228 square metre Le Royal Suite is the hotel's largest option, featuring two bedrooms, a dining room, lounge and pantry.
