A large hotel, popular with visitors to Niagara and the local area, Sheraton Fallsview Hotel occupies prime real estate just a short walk from the falls and the embarkation point for Niagara City Cruises, which arranges boat rides up to the Horseshoe Falls.
The hotel’s location makes it a good base for a stay in Niagara, where your room could look directly onto the falls (the Fallsview Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows to exploit the biggest views of the spectacle as well as the evening fireworks and light shows). Among the hotel’s facilities are a choice of restaurants, including an Italian and a steakhouse, and a spa that commands another impressive view of the falls.

Like most Niagara hotels, Sheraton Fallsview Hotel caters to quantity over quality, we found it a comfortable place to come back to after a busy day and within easy reach of everything you might need in Niagara.

Rooms
The hotel offers an extensive range of room configurations, starting with the Garden View Rooms and working up to suites with a prospect of the falls. Each room features an en suite bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi and tea- and coffee-making facilities. For the best views of the falls, we’d opt for the Corner Suites as they have a balcony for unimpeded viewing.
Location
The hotel is easily accessible with an underground car park to leave your vehicle if you want to use the public bus service to get around instead. It’s a 10-minute walk to the top of the falls and a 20-minute bus journey to the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, which boasts a 19th-century old quarter.
Food and drink
The Fallsview Buffet opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner and adopts an open-kitchen approach with live cooking stations preparing an eclectic menu. The Rainbow Room by Massimo Capra serves a market-style menu in a venue with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the falls. For something simple, you can dine at one of the resident cafés, which include Starbucks and the Hard Rock.
Facilities and activities
The hotel has two swimming pools, both with views over the falls. The Christienne Fallsview Spa provides spa treatments and relaxation overlooking the falls.
