Dog sledding in the Callaghan Valley

This two-and-a-half to three-hour dog sledding adventure will find you travelling behind a powerful team of dogs into the magnificent old growth forest of the Callaghan Valley. You’ll stop for a rest at an abandoned trapper’s camp on Totem Lake and learn about the history of the Canadian fur trappers and how they used dog sledding as their main form of transport.

With your professional musher guide, you’ll learn the dog sledding commands, and how to harness the dogs and handle the sled. You can relax and take in the magnificent alpine scenery as you ride the sled along a mellow mix of open and winding trails.
