Snowshoe adventure at the Continental Divide

Today, you’ll explore a secluded part of Canada’s mountains on a leisurely snowshoe route that straddles the Banff and Kootenay National Park boundary. You’ll be well off the regular tracks and are unlikely to see anyone else during your outing.

Snowshoe across the side of a forested mountain, looking out for animal tracks and identifying various alpine trees, then reach a frozen lake where your guide will cook the quintessential Canadian winter treat, maple taffy. They will also pass around fresh, homemade hot chocolate and cookies. You’ll then head back to the car park using the frozen lake as your return route.
