Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario

Home to Canada’s capital city, its largest metropolis, forested national parks, shimmering lakes and the most powerful waterfall in North America, Ontario is a gatehouse to the country. Whether you’re looking to hop between cities by train, or self-drive through the province’s forests and open countryside, our specialists can help you plan a trip that takes in Ontario’s main highlights, and lesser-known attractions.

Few people visit Ontario without experiencing the thunderous waters of Niagara Falls, either by boat, helicopter or on foot. The falls are within easy reach of Toronto, where skyscrapers and the CN Tower are reflected in the waters of Lake Ontario. And, just a three-hour drive north of the city, you can canoe on Algonquin Provincial Park’s glassy lakes, often sharing the water with moose, beavers and otters. Walking and cycling trails weave through woodland and wildflower meadows. At night, listen for wolf howls echoing across the park from your log cabin.

Our specialists can also arrange for you to explore Canada’s First Nations heritage with a visit to Manitoulin Island. Here, you can become versed on the beliefs and traditions of the Ojibwe, Odawa and Potawatomi tribes, from attending a smudging (blessing) ceremony to witnessing Canada’s largest pow-wow, which takes place on the island every August.
