The Pig’s Inn No.2 Bishan is a simple, wooden, family run guesthouse in the rural village of Bishan, surrounded fields, rivers and mountains. We like this boutique inn for its Huizhou architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The clean and simple guestrooms, which feature modern bathrooms, all have verandahs overlooking two peaceful stone courtyards. Additionally, the dining rooms are next to a pond. There is a library for guests to enjoy reading or chatting, and the viewing platforms allows guests to take in the view. Please note that no English is spoken at the hotel but you can ask your guide to explain the meal routines and assist with ordering food if necessary.
There are ten simple and comfortable guestrooms and suites, with a limited choice of twin or double beds. There are family rooms with three beds or loft-style bunk beds available.
Located in the village of Bishan, the hotel’s location is good for those who want to stay in an authentic Chinese village and explore off-the-beaten track ancient villages and countryside in the Huang Shan region.
Food and Drink
The guesthouse has two canteens that serve breakfast and Chinese cuisine.
Facilities and Activities
As a simple guesthouse, facilities are limited to a library and viewing platforms.
We love the rustic charm and the location of this property and feel that it is suitable for clients who want to experience authentic rural China, without all the luxuries.

Where possible, we like to offer a range of accommodation for each stop of your trip, chosen by our specialists as some of their favourite places to stay. To help you make the right choice, we give each property a rating based on its facilities and service, but we also look for hotels with distinct character or a location that can’t be bettered.
