Tokoriki Island Resort

The Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands, Fiji

Tokoriki Island Resort comprises just 34 thatched, air-conditioned, seafront bures, on a private island on the Mamanucas, facing west for the sunset, and offering privacy and exclusivity.

The resort is within easy reach of the airport, but in a world of its own, with Fijian artefacts and traditional fabrics setting a quiet, restful tone. With its clear waters sheltered by an offshore reef, this resort appeals to romantics, divers, and people looking for a quiet, picturesque and luxurious island retreat.

OUR OPINION:

A small, intimate resort, with some of the best views in the Mamanuca Islands. Wonderful food, extremely friendly local staff and a relaxed atmosphere, make this a magical resort — one of Fiji's true gems, and for the price, you won't find anything that comes close!

Rooms

All rooms are furnished in a fusion of contemporary island style and Fijian design. The freestanding bures feature air-conditioning, king size beds and double foldout doors, delivering an exclusive beach view from the bure and hammock.

In keeping with the peaceful, 'unplugged' nature of the resort, rooms do not have television or iPod docks, and there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms (although there is Wi-Fi in public areas). All rooms do have tea/coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, beach mats, umbrella, room safe, robes, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini fridge and hair dryer.

Location

The Mamanucas lie 35 kilometres off the Fijian mainland, and Tokoriki sits on a beautiful white sand beach, fringed with coconut palms.

This remote island has no shops or bars to distract from the surroundings, but the resort has all the facilities you need.

Food and drink

Daily changing à la carte menus feature both South Pacific and Asian influences, with a modern international twist.

Dine on a romantic oceanfront deck, or experience an intimate evening at Fiji’s only Teppanyaki restaurant, seating only eight guests. The house band will serenade you each evening during dinner at all dining locations.

Big Joe, the resort's resident mixologist, loves to whip up a range of delicious cocktails.

There is a smart casual dress code in the evening.

Families

No children are allowed at the resort.

Facilities and activities

There are plenty of activities with which to while away the time, including a dive shop, library, hammocks, a boutique shop, chapel, a games/reading bure, two swimming pools, Sunday church service, coconut demonstrations, basket weaving, football, volleyball, hiking, windsurfing, paddleboards, kayaks, snorkelling trips, PADI five-star scuba diving, glass-bottom boat trips, nature walks, international crab race, sailing Hobie Cats, pétanque, village trip, table tennis, tennis, meke and kava ceremony.
