Itinerary idea in detail

Including travel by rail

  • Make your way to St Pancras station for the Eurostar train to Paris. Arriving in Paris, you’ll be met by your private driver, who’ll take you to your hotel in the Marais district. You have the rest of the afternoon free to explore the area.

  • This morning, your driver will take you to Paris's 18th arrondissement, the setting for the Saint-Ouen antiques market. You'll have time to explore the vast covered markets, looking for a treasure or two to buy. In the evening, make your way to Bouillon Racine for a wine and cheese pairing class.

  • You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the station for your train journey to Nice, where you’ll spend the next three nights.

  • Joining a cooking school for the day, you’ll meet your local guide and a small group to visit a local market in Nice. Here, you’ll buy ingredients to take back to the cooking school, where you’ll learn to make a local dish together.

  • Your driver will chauffeur you to two of the jewels of the Riviera — Villefranche-sur-Mer and Èze. You’ll have time to explore both places before heading back to Nice to enjoy your final afternoon there at your leisure.

  • A private transfer to Nice station this morning will connect you with the high-speed train to Genoa in Italy, a journey of about three hours. You'll then transfer from Genoa down the coast to Santa Margherita Ligure, where you have the remainder of the afternoon free to begin exploring the town.

  • Spend today exploring the villages of the Cinque Terre with your guide, journeying by ferry along the coast for panoramic views from the water. Best approached by sea, the charming villages each have their own character and history, which your guide will explain as you walk around.

  • Explore the towns of the Ligurian Riviera with your private guide. You'll visit the fashionable port town of Portofino, bright and cheerful Camogli, and tiny San Fruttuoso, which you can reach only by boat.

  • You begin the journey north this morning, starting with a private transfer to Genoa station. Here, you board the train bound for Nice and then Paris, a journey through varied landscapes that lasts about eight hours. In Paris, your private driver will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel.

  • A private transfer from your hotel carries you to Paris’s Gare du Nord station to board the Eurostar back to London.
