The Hotel Posada de la Selva is all about location. It is the closest property to the jungle-clad Tikal ruins and actually set within the beautiful national park itself — just one hour's drive from the main town of Flores.

The lodge is simple but comfortable with 36 bungalows and two junior suites, each with ceiling fans and hot water. Electricity is limited and does not run 24 hours; it is shut down for some time during the night.

Facilities include a pool, bar and restaurant that is open all day until 9pm. The lodge operates a tour desk offering shared (starting at around 9am - 9.30am) or private tours of Tikal as well as a variety of other tours.
