Bijay Niwas Palace

Bijay Niwas Palace is a beautiful and unique pleasure palace, which was built in 1915 by Rao Bijay Singh. The current owners have only recently opened its doors as a 15 room boutique hotel, with the aim of restoring and retaining lots of its original features. The rooms are all very different, ranging from the more traditional rooms and suites in the main house, with original paintwork and windows, to the more contemporary rooms in the garden.

All rooms have a small fridge as well as tea and coffee facilities. The hotel really benefits from the wonderful grounds, rural surroundings and a good size swimming pool, which is an ideal way to end a busy day exploring. There are a number of excursions available, including a trip to one of the local villages or farms, and there are also bikes available.
