Day 1 International outbound flight

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Denpasar.
Day 2 Sanur
Day 3 Ubud
After a leisurely morning your guide will transfer you inland to Bali's spiritual and artistic hub, Ubud. In the evening your guide will accompany you to experience a traditional Balinese kecak dance performance. Based on an ancient Hindu story the dance is a spectacle to behold as actors dressed in traditional costumes re-tell the story whilst a chorus of men chant and sway around them.
Day 4 Ubud
Today you will have a guided tour that gives a unique insight into Ubud and the Balinese culture. The tour takes you away from Ubud's tourist areas to give you an authentic insight and experience. During the tour you will have the opportunity to interact with locals who live and work in Ubud.
Day 5 Ubud
A classic VW convertible jeep will collect you this morning for your scenic journey to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jatiluwih. The area is renowned for its rice terraces and you will have the opportunity to experience these via a private guided cycling tour. During the tour you will also visit the sacred jungle temple of Batakaru.
Day 6 Ubud
Approximately 1 hour from Ubud lies the active volcano of Mount Batur. The volcano has a spectacular setting within a large ancient caldera next to a lake and hot springs. Over time, several craters have formed on the volcano. Your guide will lead you on a trek to one of the lower craters which provides panoramic views of the caldera and at times emits steam and gases from small vents in the crater wall. As the sunsets you will be served eggs that have been cooked in the soil beneath you before heading back to Ubud. For more active clients we can organise a trek to the highest crater on the volcano.
Day 7 Makassar/Ujung Pandang
Ubud , Denpasar , Makassar/Ujung Pandang
Your morning will be at leisure. You may like to visit one of the area's many characterful temples, visit the Monkey Forest or enjoy a private yoga session in a peaceful setting overlooking the river. After lunch your guide will collect you and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Makassar, the gateway to South Sulawesi. A guide will be waiting to greet you and will transfer you to your hotel nearby.
Day 8 Rantepao
Makassar/Ujung Pandang , Palopo , Rantepao
Early morning start for your flight to Sulawesi's scenic and fascinating Toraja region. This area is renowned for its ancient traditions and culture, particularly its unusual ceremonies and burial practises which are unique to this area in Indonesia. Your local guide will be waiting for you at the airport and will transfer you to your characterful accommodation on the outskirts of Rantepao. In the afternoon you will have a guided visit of Ke'te Ke'su, believed to be the finest example of a traditional Torajan house complex.
Day 9 Rantepao
Today you will have a private walking tour through traditional Torajan villages with their unique & characterful houses and visit some of the area's unusual burial sites. For lunch you will have the opportunity to meet a local family and dine in their traditional Torajan house complex. Tourists are welcome at local ceremonies in Toraja. If there is one taking place during your stay your guide will offer you the chance to experience these extraordinary events.
Day 10 Rantepao
Early this morning you will visit the region's animal market where water buffalos can cost more than a car due to the importance they have in Torajan culture. In the afternoon you will have a cycling tour through the Torajan countryside passing local villages and small plantations and stopping at the area's unusual cultural sites.
Day 11 Jimbaran
Today you will have a long but scenic road transfer back to Makassar to catch your flight to Bali. Your guide will be waiting for you at Denpasar airport and will transfer you to your hotel in the nearby beach town of Jimbaran.
Day 12 Jimbaran
Day at leisure to relax. On your doorstep is the 4km sandy beach of Jimbaran, one of Bali's finest beaches. For dinner you may like to try one of the local seafood restaurants on Jimbaran beach. You can select your fish from that day's catch and then dine on the beach under the stars.
Day 13 Jimbaran
Day at leisure to relax or enjoy one of the activities on offer in the area. In the afternoon a small boat will be waiting to take you on a private cruise around Bali's coastline. As the sunsets for your last evening on Bali the crew will hand you a glass of champagne and canapés to enjoy the moment.
