It immediately becomes evident that the property is a relaxing retreat. Floor to ceiling windows feature throughout the public areas of the hotel in lounges and the restaurant, allowing guests to soak in the views of these verdant gardens and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
With 32 rooms, the hotel is large enough to be able to offer facilities like a swimming pool, small spa, and restaurant, yet small enough to maintain a welcoming, boutique feel. Throughout the property, furnishings and decorations follow a bright white theme which matched beautifully with the fresh greens of the garden and the bright blue of the Pugliese sky. All rooms have some outdoor space in the form of a balcony or terrace. For guests looking to explore a bit further afield, the town of Otranto is less than ten minutes’ away by taxi and offers a number of restaurants, historic sights and a small bathing area on the sea.
OUR OPINION:
We chose the Tenuta la Centoporte for its boutique style and sunny, white palette throughout the hotel. The saltwater swimming pool and vicinity to the town of Otranto are also major draws.

Ground floor rooms benefit from spacious terraces, while rooms on upper floors have balconies.
Location
Tenuta Centoporte sits in idyllic countryside set just back from the coast and the Adriatic Sea. In less than ten minutes by taxi, guests can reach the small coastal city of Otranto where visitors can visit the 15th century Castle of Otranto, the city’s Cathedral, as well as shops and restaurants.
Food and drink
The property’s restaurant, located in two dining rooms and an enticing outdoor area, is a beautiful retreat. White table cloths and chairs look out through floor-to-ceiling windows onto the olive trees in the garden. Outside, a white pergola draped in soft white cloth covers the dining area, and romantic lighting is provided by swirling candelabras on tables. Cuisine focuses on fresh local produce. In the mornings breakfast is served in the same setting, and in the summer months, drinks and light meals can also be ordered from a pool-side bar and adjacent olive grove.
Facilities and activities
A large saltwater pool is located in gardens surrounded by white and wood loungers, umbrellas, and a pool bar. A small spa area can be reserved in advance and includes a Turkish bath, hot tub, and multi-sensory showers with calming lighting and scents. A full spa menu is also available for treatments.
