Set among olive groves so characteristic of the Sicilian landscape, the Verdura Resort provides an idyllic location to relax and take in the view. Spread over nearly 600 acres of land and spanning nearly 2 km (1.45 miles) of private coastline, the property melts effortlessly into the surrounding countryside, enabling guests to enjoy a feeling of comfortable seclusion.

Each of the 203 rooms and suites features vivid, modern decor, with signature designs influenced by 19th-century tile work. Additionally, each room has a private balcony where guests can enjoy the view. Venturing outside your room, you can make use of the expansive infinity pool, any of six tennis courts, three golf courses and the luxury spa. The property also boasts four restaurants and five bars across the premises.

Rooms

Each room at the Verdura Resort features a spacious layout, comfortable seating area and large beds. Various rooms and suites can be easily interconnected to form larger suites or even whole villas. Rooms also have a bar and private balcony with a table for two. Larger suites boast in-house movies and a private concierge service, and the largest comes with a private pool. All rooms have views of the Verdura golf course and the Mediterranean Sea.

Location

The Verdura Resort covers nearly 2 km (1.25 miles) of private coastline. Although the area is secluded, the historic fishing village of Sciacca is only a 15-minute drive away, where many restaurants serve fresh seafood. The archaeological sites of Agrigento are about an hour’s drive, and the Sicilian capital of Palermo can be reached in about an hour and a half by car.

Food and drink

There are four restaurants and five bars at the Verdura Resort, each with its own character and charm. You can sample traditional Sicilian cuisine or fresh seafood by the water, or enjoy snacks and signature cocktails by the pool. Breakfast is always a pleasure, when you can enjoy a full buffet with fresh fruit, Italian meats and cheeses, and a crisp glass of prosecco.

Families

Verdura Resort takes care to ensure that even its youngest guests are properly looked after. From designated clubs for younger children and older teens, to ‘Hedgehog Teddy Turndown’ and cookies and milk at bedtime, children are always welcome to join the experiences Verdura has to offer.

Facilities and activities

The Verdura Resort provides numerous activities for guests. For those looking to be more active there’s a large infinity pool, six tennis courts and three golf courses. For those looking for more quiet relaxation time, the Verdura Spa has treatment rooms, thalassotherapy pools, as well as a Finnish sauna and beauty salon.
