This stunning residence is the former retreat of the “Kanin no miya” imperial family, and takes its relaxation seriously!

The rooms are authentic tatami-style and the décor is sympathetic to the natural surroundings of the area. Relax in the whirlpool Jacuzzi or open-air bath and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hakone National Park. The original building, which dates back 75 years, is now a Japanese restaurant, while the main accommodation is based in the stylish, modern attachment designed by the Japanese architect, Kioshite Takayama.

Traditionally ryokans are very efficiently run, and the Gora Kadan is no exception; punctuality and precision are of paramount importance here and the service is second to none. Your every need will be catered for in this fabulous accommodation.
