Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Lilongwe.

  • On arrival in Lilongwe you will be met by your driver who will take you to Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve and to your lodge.

  • There are a wide variety of activities to enjoy from Tongole. Perhaps explore the wildlife reserve walking safaris with your guides. Walking safaris reveal the smaller animals, birds, insects and trees. They give a fascinating insight into the bush.

  • Depending on water levels you could take a canoe trip on the Bua River or try your hand at some fly-fishing. The Bua River winds through the reserve and is a magnet for wildlife as well as water birds.

  • An alternative to safari activities is to head out to one of the local villages for an afternoon. Here you can immerse yourself in local village life and learn about Malawi's rich cultural heritage.

  • After breakfast you'll be driven to Lake Malawi. The drive is through some lovely scenery, but if you'd rather fly to Cape Maclear then this is also possible, just ask your specialist for more details. On arrival at your lodge you can relax beside the sparkling waters of Lake Malawi.
