The Museum of National History has a number of fascinating displays of traditional Mongolian clothing and weaponry, as well as exhibits charting the course of Chinggis Khaan's empire-building.

You also leave the city for Zaisan Hill - the crest of the hill is the site of the Zaisan Monument, and offers exceptional views over the city and the four sacred mountains Bayanzurkh, Chingeltei, Khairkhan, and BogdKhaan.
