Stay at La Maison Arabe, Marrakesh
Half hotel, half riad, La Maison Arabe in Marrakesh has a colonial feel with a fantastic spa and pool. There’s a great cookery school and with Moroccan, Thai and Mediterranean menus you won’t go hungry.
La Maison Arabe, Marrakesh, Morocco
La Maison Arabe combines the rich, warm colours of the African continent with the style and grace of a French country house. Using traditional Moroccan art and ornaments as well as more European-style paintings and art work, it is positioned as one of the most opulent of Marrakesh's riads. The new wing has a more modern feel with all the facilities you could ask for, while the old area arguably has more authentic character. The riad has a sizeable heated pool and a gorgeous spa area with treatment rooms and a hammam on the bottom floor.
Although it feels more like a hotel than some of the other, more traditional riads, La Maison Arabe is still one of the longest-established and best known accommodations in the city. Cuisine is a big focus, with a superb kitchen on-site, offering possibly the most famous cookery courses in Marrakesh.
