Kalahari Farmhouse

The Kalahari Farmhouse is a simple property on the outskirts of the village of Stampriet. Formerly the home of the old-established Van der Wath family, the farmhouse has a rural atmosphere which provides a contrast to many of Namibia's lodges. Guests are greeted by cows grazing in front of the house; vines, fruit trees and tall palms grow between the buildings.

The farmhouse has 11 bright rooms, situated in chalets around the farm. The restaurant serves good farmhouse cuisine with a daily choice of three starters, main courses and puddings.

Guests at the Kalahari Farmhouse are welcome to join nature drives in Gondwana Kalahari Park, departing from Kalahari Anib Lodge, some 30 kilometres away. An alternative option however is a half-day trip on your own, with a picnic basket: via Hoachanas (historical church), Leonardville (silk weaving), Aranos and back. These activities can be arranged for an extra cost before travel or on arrival. Guests can also visit the farm's animals and cheese dairy.
