Azur Lodge, Queenstown, New Zealand

Our rating: Deluxe

Azur Lodge enjoys a fantastic location just outside Queenstown, truly maximising its breathtaking lake views. The main lodge building is perched on the hillside, with every room facing out towards the lake and the mountains beyond. The lodge houses the main dining areas as well as a spacious lounge with a large open fireplace - an ideal place to relax and take in the scenery.

Accommodation is in nine individual villas, nestled amongst the native bush that surrounds the lodge. Each villa has a superking bed, lounge area with fireplace and private decks overlooking the lake. The views are also enjoyed from the big en-suite bathrooms, where you can soak in the tub whilst gazing out over the lake. Delicious breakfasts are served up each morning by the lodge chef, and you can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and canapes before making your way to one of Queenstown's superb restaurants, just a few minutes away.
