The SKYCITY Hotel has a fantastic location in the centre of Auckland on the corner of Federal and Victoria Street, within walking distance of the superb shopping on Queen Street. Its location means the Sky Tower itself, a great selection of restaurants and bars, two casinos and other entertainment are all within the same complex, while Auckland's main attractions are within easy walking distance. The vibrant Viaduct Harbour, just a ten minute walk away, is a hub of restaurants and bars overlooking the beautiful Waitemata Harbour and marina full of sail boats, giving the 'City of Sails' its name.
Food and drink
There are 15 restaurants and seven bars within the SKYCITY complex itself and numerous restaurants in which to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner within Auckland City. We particularly enjoy visiting Viaduct Harbour for its choice of restaurants and lively nightlife. Euro is a delicious, although expensive dinner option by the water, and is always bursting to the seams with diners. For breakfast, we love the Federal Deli, located just outside the hotel.
Facilities and activities
Within the hotel building guests have access to the Sky Tower complex, which has the Sky Tower itself, two casinos and multiple restaurants and bars. Via a short walkway, guests can access the SKYCITY Grand gym and spa. If guests are feeling adventurous they can take a walk around the outside of the top of the Sky Tower, or even perform a wire-controlled base jump down onto the pavement.
SKYCITY Hotel has a great location in the city centre. We found the rooms to be surprisingly quiet and great value for money; ideal for people who want to be in the heart of the city.
