Belvidere is an exclusive and historic suburb of Knysna, on the opposite side of the lagoon to the town, and at the heart of this smart suburb is Belvidere Manor. The reception and restaurant are in the original manor house, built in 1849, and the more modern guest cottages are located around the lawns in individual units.
The manor house has traditional period furnishings, whilst the accommodation has a much more contemporary feel to it. The cottages are spacious and have lounge and kitchen areas in addition to the one, two or even three bedrooms, with views either of the lagoon or of the tranquil gardens. Guests can relax by the pool, or enjoy a drink at the quirky Bell pub after a day exploring all this interesting region of the Garden Route has to offer.
