Rooms
The hotel consists of 16 suites with options ranging from Luxury Suites, Honeymoon Suites and Family Suites, all of which are individually decorated and offer a mixture of modern and unique furnishings. Each suite features a large en suite bathroom with a shower and a soaking tub from where you can take in views of the surrounding scenery. Alternatively, you can sit on your own private viewing deck, connected to each suite's sitting room, to take in the views. Underfloor heating, Wi-Fi access, a cosy fireplace and a ceiling fan add to guests' comfort and convenience.
Location
Plettenberg is a great location for a short stay as you explore the Garden Route. This coastal town comprises good restaurants and white, sandy beaches.
Food and drink
No trip to the Emily Moon River Lodge is complete without a trip to the renowned Emily’s restaurant. The dining experience is eclectic and the dining hall is decorated with African artwork, sculptures and photography. The restaurant overlooks the Bitou River and is open for dinner, offering an international menu and an extensive wine list. Meanwhile, Simon’s Bar is a craft beer bar and artisan pizza restaurant with a wood-fire oven.
Families
The lodge can cater for families in their two Family Suites. Children will enjoy the natural setting of the lodge together with a range of activities they can enjoy at the lodge or a short walk away.
Honeymooners
Enjoying a secluded and scenic location, Emily Moon's romantic setting caters for honeymooners and special occasions. The property has two dedicated Honeymoon Suites, which offer outdoor showers, great river views and complete privacy.
Facilities and activities
There are two swimming pools for guests to enjoy. Rates include a car washing service, morning newspapers and use of bicycles and river canoes.
