Set within peaceful gardens in the shadow of rugged mountain scenery, Le Quartier Francais has a relaxed, contemporary feel, reflected in the bright colours and simple architecture used throughout. Most of the spacious rooms and suites look out over a central courtyard filled with flowers and a discreet pool, and are furnished in a tasteful, unpretentious manner. The attention to detail is as high as any international five-star hotel, yet the ambience is much less formal and more welcoming. From here you can head out to explore the town or surrounding countryside before returning to a glass of the region’s fine wine.
All rooms and suites include air conditioning, satellite TVs, Wi-Fi, minibars, tea/coffee making facilities, underfloor heating, fireplaces and en suite bathrooms.
Auberge rooms have a simple design, spacious seating areas and either a private courtyard or views of the pool or mountains, while the more spacious Grande rooms offer king sized beds, large windows and comfortable sofas.
The House and Pool Suites accommodate four and five guests respectively, featuring a loft room for children aged under 12, two bathrooms and walled gardens with private pools. Petite Garden Suites have sliding doors leading onto a private patio and corner garden, while the large Four Quarters Suites are set around a private courtyard, featuring luxurious furnishings and walk-in dressing rooms.
Le Quartier Francais is located on Huguenot Road, the main street in Franschhoek, so it's perfectly placed for those wishing to spend their time perusing the towns many restaurants, art galleries and shops. It’s also just under an hour’s drive from Cape Town, and the surrounding mountains make for a breath-taking backdrop.

Guided walks in the scenic Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve are offered to learn about the area’s flora and fauna, or you can take a guided tour of Franschhoek to learn about its pre- and post-colonial past.
