Waterfront Lodge

Relaxation is the key theme here, whether tucking in to a leisurely breakfast overlooking the lagoon, enjoying birdwatching from the garden deck or indulging in some reflexology or a massage. The lodge owners, Gavin and Marion, offer a warm welcome and lots of advice about excursions in the area as Waterfront Lodge is ideally situated to explore the many attractions of the Garden Route with its beautiful beaches, forests and mountains. A lovely lounge filled with natural light overlooks the lagoon, while the pool deck allows you to lie back and relax as you soak up the sun. Bicycles are also available for hire, enabling you to explore the locality at your leisure.

This taster to the Karoo Desert is a beautiful place, not quite as harsh or barren as the Karoo, but still stark and impressive. The climate proved ideal for rearing ostriches, and thanks to the Victorian craze for ostrich feathers, the town of Oudtshoorn flourished.
