Tokyo is a city of many contrasts and its unique culture and innovative take on everything from talking toilets to driverless trains makes it a fascinating place to visit. Experiencing the diverse way of life here is a truly magical experience. When I visited I was blown away by the kindness and politeness of the Japanese people. I ate some of the best sushi around in the Tsukiji Market, and visited some of the most beautiful hidden islands. My advice would be to embrace the city and all its offerings and you’ll find out how incredible a place it truly is.

I was fortunate enough to travel extensively around Europe with my family and my childhood wonder at experiencing different cultures and traditions later grew into proper wanderlust. At 18 I decided to embark on a trip around the world and visited Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I had some unforgettable experiences along the way and indulged in some of the world’s most unusual traditions.
Since then I have managed to visit many areas of the US, including New York and Miami, and ended one road trip in Canada. With a background in hospitality, sales and management, I decided to combine these skills and adapt them into a career in the travel industry which I felt passionate about and joined Audley.
Interests outside travel include sport and cooking, both of which I love to incorporate when I travel.

Situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Cathedral Mountain Lodge in Field, British Columbia offers a genuine mountain experience. It’s set in a remote area with breathtaking views and has a sense of utter isolation. There are no phones or TVs, wildlife abounds in the surrounding area and it feels like you’re just part of the landscape yet with all the creature comforts you could want. Take a canoe along turquoise Moraine Lake under the shadow of jagged snow-capped peaks, go horse riding or river rafting, or hike, fish or simply sit still and admire the views.
I'll never forget when…
I took a trip through New Zealand from north to south taking in the great diversity of landscapes the country has to offer between Auckland and Queenstown. I explored in depth, experiencing Maori culture and all its traditions but the defining moment for me was canoeing through Milford Sound. The natural beauty all around was unlike anything I’d experienced before but then a pod of dolphins joined me, swimming all the way round the fjord within touching distance of my canoe. I felt completely humbled by their presence and the incredible beauty of the scenery around me.
