Casa Heliconia

Casa Heliconia comprises four beautiful and eclectic pavilions set in manicured jungle within easy reach of Bandaranaike Airport. An ideal retreat for anyone seeking peace, tranquillity, and some idiosyncratic features in very private surroundings.

The bedrooms are based in two stylized pavilions, ideal for couples seeking an experience in rural Sri Lanka, with the convenience of being 40 km from the heart of Colombo and only 25 km from the capital's airport. Each has its own terrace and ample sitting and dining area. All interiors boast a fusion of Western and Asian art and antiques, creating all comforts and some eccentricity in this lush tropical setting. Showers are not typical Western style, and a half coconut is used to pour water from a running tap.

The third pavilion serves as a common sitting room housing deep sofas, Wi-Fi and TV. The fourth pavilion houses a swimming pool with loungers in the shade, directing your vision over the paddy fields. The property is based on the perimeter of a farming village, surrounded by plantations and paddy fields. Guests can feel part of rural life whilst under the watchful eye of a stunning temple stoupa.
