Rooms

Of the hotel’s 216 rooms, 106 are Junior Suites or Suites. The Superior and Deluxe rooms offer luxe experiences as well, with small seating areas, parquet flooring or carpet, and views of either Interlaken, the Jungfrau or Harder Kulm.

The Junior Suites offer richer fabrics, along with increased space. The larger Duplex Suites are all on two levels, with high ceilings, elegant furnishings and mountain views.

The Yash Chopra Suite is Bollywood-themed with silk pillows, deep-brown, plum and gold decor and Jungfrau views. The yellow-walled Tower Suite is huge, with a dining room and terrace, entrance hall and curved staircase to the second terrace on the upper floor.

The spa also has its own rooms, which give you direct access to the facilities.

The V-J Club Rooms are light and airy and come with additional services like pick-up at the train station, priority restaurant seating and a welcome drink upon arrival.

Location

The hotel is in the heart of Interlaken and provides a peaceful oasis in the busy resort town. Across the street is the huge Höhematte Park, with multiple opportunities for recreation. It’s also a good base for visiting the Jungfraujoch or Top of Europe, as well as the Schilthorn and the smaller villages of Grindelwald and Wengen.

• La Terrasse serves only locally sourced ingredients in a setting inspired by the orangeries in southern France.
• Ristorante e Pizzeria Sapori is an Italian restaurant in a gilded marble banquet hall.
• Victoria Terrace offers outdoor seating that’s great for coffees or cocktails with views of the Jungfrau.
• Victoria Bar, named one of Switzerland’s best hotel bars, has a pianist in the evenings and tea in the afternoon.
• Spa Bistro offers more healthy options.
