Rooms

The guest rooms and suites at the hotel are among the largest in Bangkok, each with their own private balcony offering panoramic views of the river and the city skyline, as well as modern facilities including a kitchenette, satellite TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. Ranging in size from the Grand room at 60 sqm to the Presidential Three Bedroom Suite at 460 square metres, all rooms have a contemporary design and remain in harmony with the riverside. Floor-to-ceiling windows in all rooms allow for plenty of natural light, and guests can choose from a king size bed or twin beds. The luxurious en suite bathrooms each have a separate shower and bathtub.

There are several two bedroom options in addition to the three bedroom suite, making this a good option for groups of friends or families. There are also several Club room categories which benefit from access to the exclusive Chatrium Club, where guests can enjoy breakfast, complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks throughout the day and complimentary cocktails and canapes in the evening.

Location

From its enviable location on the riverfront, the most convenient way to explore Bangkok from the Chatrium is to catch the complimentary shuttle boat service to the nearby skytrain station of Saphan Taksin. From here you can take the skytrain to the city's best spots for shopping and eating. The hotel is only a kilometre away from the Asiatique night market, which is definitely worth exploring. The best way to get there is to take the complimentary shuttle boat to Saphan Taksin Pier and then the Asiatique free shuttle boat from there to the market itself. Taxis are not advised as the traffic can be quite heavy.

Food and drink

The hotel has a choice of six restaurants and bars serving a choice of international or regional cuisine. The River Barge Restaurant offers international cuisine fat breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Silver Waves Restaurant offers Cantonese cuisine - from delicate dim sum to mouth-watering roast duck - and is open for lunch, pre-dinner tapas and dinner. At Pier 28 you can enjoy al fresco riverside dining, with Thai and international favourites served at dinner. The Lobby Lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows, offering peaceful garden views, and is open all day for drinks and snacks. The Pool Bar is also open all day, as is the on site cafe, Treats Gourmet, which offers freshly made cakes, pastries and cookies, as well as coffee and tea.

Families

Babysitting can be arranged and there are two children’s pools. There are also several two and three bedroom rooms and suites, which are the best accommodation options for families.

Facilities and activities

In addition to the 35 metre infinity pool and two children’s pools, there's an outdoor Jacuzzi, a fitness centre with male and female saunas, and the Nermita Spa. The Chatrium Club Lounge on the 36th floor is available to all guests staying in Club rooms, offering evening cocktails and canapes along with complimentary soft drinks and snacks throughout the day. Also located on the hotel premises are a few shops and services such as the Head2Toe hairdressing salon, La Moda tailor and a 7Eleven convenience store.
