It is the location of Samade that really makes this a wonderful property. Located right on the beachfront at the top end of Aitutaki Lagoon, the resort looks out over pristine turquoise waters to the main part of the island beyond. The accommodation itself is fairly simple but very clean and comfortable; 12 individual air-conditioned bungalows nestle in the tropical gardens just steps from the beach. Rooms feature king sized beds, TV and sound system, hair dryer, a kettle and a fridge.
The sand floor restaurant and bar are right on the beach, and twice a week they feature buffet or barbecue evenings with live entertainment. The use of kayaks is complimentary, and there is a car and scooter rental next door so it is easy to get out and explore the rest of the island. Samade is a lively and fun place to stay, but also a beautiful place to just sit back and relax.
