I have a trip booked with Audley with a travel date within the next 45 days. What are my options?

Your country specialist should have already been in touch with you to discuss your options if your trip departs within the next 45 days. You can choose to postpone your trip at no cost, take a travel credit for your trip so you can choose a destination and time in the future that suits you, or accept a cash refund.

I have a trip booked with Audley beyond the current 45 day rolling window. What are my options?

At the current time we are reaching out to our clients 45 days before they are due to travel to explain the options that are available to them. As an illustration, at the current time these options include postponing their trip to a date up to 13 months after your original travel date, or taking a travel credit for the equivalent value, to use before 31st March 2021. Alternatively you are entitled to a cash refund and should you not redeem your credit voucher before 31st March 2021, you can claim a cash refund at this date.

As you will appreciate the situation is very fluid, and we are amending and reviewing our approach regularly to fit this changing landscape, while always prioritising our clients’ safety, comfort and well-being. We are closely monitoring updates from the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization and the Foreign Commonwealth Office and are in regular contact with our local partners in each respective country to get an ‘on-the-ground’ view. Based on these sources of information Audley will continue to revise and update its policies.

We hope you’ll understand that we are prioritising this by departure date. You don’t need to do anything in the meantime, just be assured that we’ll speak to you soon, and that your safety and well-being are always our priority.

I’m due to travel in the future but want to cancel or postpone now — can I do that?

The flexibility of our terms and conditions means you can postpone your trip to a date in the future and we won’t charge you any amendment fees to do so. You will, however, be responsible for any changes in cost, for example due to a change in seasonality, your accommodation choices or routing.

If you wish to cancel now, we can organise that for you. The charges that would be applied are dependent both on your ability to travel based on the advice of the Foreign Commonwealth Office and on our terms and conditions.

I don’t want to travel unless there’s a vaccine, can I postpone now even if I’m outside the 45-day window?

I’m travelling in the future but have lost confidence in the destination, can I change destination?

We’re happy to accommodate this, but would have to pass on the cancellation charges we incur on your original booking. We’ll then issue you with a credit for the remaining amount for you to spend on an alternative trip. Please be aware that there may additional costs associated with a new country based on a number of factors (e.g. availability, seasonality, destination, etc.).

I’m concerned about Audley’s financial position. Should I be?

No. Audley is particularly well placed to navigate through these uncertain times given our strong reputation for trusted advice and destination expertise, the nature of our business model, and doing what’s right for our clients and our suppliers.

We’ve demonstrated an excellent financial track record over the last 25 years, have strong cash reserves and a healthy balance sheet, as evidenced in our most recent statutory accounts, which are available to view at Companies House.
