Sumahan on the Water
Sumahan on the Water, Istanbul, Turkey
The Sumahan is a beautiful boutique hotel, set on the waterfront of the Asian side of the Bosphorus. It is a small property, with only 24 rooms, all with an excellent view across the Bosphorus, and each named after a different Bosphorus district.
The entrance lobby contains a small but beautiful library, which overlooks the water and has a large stone fireplace to stave off the winter cold. Tapasuma, the hotel's restaurant, is a popular option for the public as well as guests, serving delicious food in a fantastic location over the water.
In addition, the Waterside Cafe offers a more casual lunch and dinner option, as well as an excellent breakfast selection. The hotel offers a complimentary boat shuttle throughout the day across to Kapataş on the European side.
