Offering some of the closest accommodation to the renowned national park, Yosemite View Lodge is a comfortable base with a homely feel and a friendly service evident from the moment you arrive.

The lodge has been designed so that most of the cosy rooms provide tranquil views over the Merced River, and a good range of facilities on site mean that this is a welcome place to come back to after exploring the natural wonders of the park.

OUR OPINION:

The Yosemite View Lodge is fairly basic in its accommodation, but its location, value for money and friendly staff make the property a very popular choice.

Rooms

Most rooms and suites overlook the river from balconies or outdoor hot tubs and offer ample space. All feature a kitchenette should you wish to self-cater, a TV, fireplace and an en suite bathroom. A king sized bed or two queen sized beds are included in each room, and some can be connected to accommodate families.

Location

Yosemite View Lodge is situated on the banks of the Merced River, just a four-minute drive away from the entrance to Yosemite National Park.

Food and drink

Lodge dining options include a pizzeria and a brilliant riverfront restaurant. There's also a convenience store which supplies basic food should you prefer to self-cater or stock up on snacks for days spent in the park. Alternative dining options in the area are limited, so it's recommended to make table reservations.

Families

Twin rooms are available and some rooms can be connected to accommodate families.

Facilities and activities

The park's shuttle bus system makes regular stops at the lodge, allowing easy access to the main sites, beauty spots and activity centres. Otherwise, there's a petrol station just a five-minute drive from the hotel for those choosing to self-drive. After a busy day exploring the park, the swimming pools and hot tubs at the lodge are a great place to relax.
