The Emeralda's 172 rooms are arranged in low-level clusters of 16 to resemble traditional northern Vietnamese villages. Each cluster has its own swimming pool and barbecue area and a dramatic backdrop of the area’s imposing mountains and karsts. The architecture blends earthen walls, terracotta tiles and interior wooden beams with intricate hand carvings.

Being perfectly located to access the Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve, the Emeralda is a great base for making the most of the surrounding area and the wealth of outdoor pursuits on offer. The resort has two restaurants, with a particular focus on healthy, organic food and there is also a spa, which offers a wide range of therapies and pampering treatments.
