Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Lusaka.

  • On arrival in Lusaka, you will be met and assisted through immigration with your luggage. You will be shown to your internal flight to Mfuwe. You will meet your guide and be driven through Mfuwe town to the South Luangwa National Park and your lodge.

  • A full day of game-viewing activities. The South Luangwa National Park is considered one of the finest safari destinations in Africa, where you can expect to see lions, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, elephants, hippos, hyenas and more.

  • Today you will have the option of taking both a morning and afternoon activity. Normally the activities will start at around 6am, and you will then return mid-morning for lunch and siesta before going out again in the afternoon.

  • Enjoy another full day of safari activities, boating on the Luangwa River, walking or driving on the all-weather roads.

  • This morning, you will transfer by boat further north. Depending on what you see along the way, this journey will take a few hours. On arrival, you will be able to explore the area on foot to see what game you can find.

  • A second full day at Nsefu enjoying safari activities based on the Luangwa River.

  • This morning, your guide will take you downriver again by boat to Nkwali Camp on the banks of the Luangwa for your final few nights on safari. Here you will be able to enjoy some game drives and night drives.
