Rooms

All the rooms at the Palazzo Brunaccini boast a modern finish, pleasant neutral decor and smart modern bathrooms. The majority have windows overlooking the surrounding streets or central courtyard, though a handful also have their own terrace or balcony. The large junior suites and standard suites can accommodate extra beds for children, and a number of rooms offer a duplex-style layout.

Location

Jostling for space between the historic buildings of central Palermo directly opposite the Casa Professa Church, the Palazzo Brunaccini is well located for exploring the city on foot. Following the winding lanes that surround the hotel, you can reach the historic Quattro Canti on foot in around five minutes, while the Capella Palatina and central Cattedrale di Palermo are both within a 15-minute walk.

Food and Drink

Breakfast is served in the ground-floor dining room that spills out onto the central courtyard terrace in the summer months. Guests can enjoy local Sicilian pastries, fresh seasonal fruit and a variety of yogurts and cereals. A limited selection of hot options is also available. The charming restaurant offers an excellent à la carte menu as well as tapas-style snacks in the courtyard whenever the weather is warm enough.

Facilities and Activities

Cooking classes with the resident chef are available for guests, starting with a walk through the historic Ballaro Market to purchase the day’s ingredients. The course involves both a demonstration and a practical element and ends with a tasting of the prepared dishes. Wine tastings can also be arranged on request, accompanied by a selection of cured meats and cheeses.

Our opinion

Bursting with charm, the Palazzo Brunaccini is one of the most characterful properties we've found in Palermo, ideally located within the historical heart of the city and offering excellent service.
