Day 1 International outbound flight

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Tokyo.
Day 2 Tokyo
After passing through customs and luggage collection, you're met by an airport guide who will give you your trip documents and direct you to the private car which takes you to your hotel. After checking in, spend the rest of the day at leisure, resting and relaxing after your flight. If you do feel like starting exploring, you may wish to walk around the Imperial Gardens.

Day 5 Kyoto
Take the bullet train west to the cultural heart and past capital of Japan, Kyoto. With 17 UNESCO World Heritage sites, more than 1,600 Buddhist temples and over 400 Shinto shrines, Kyoto is one of the world's most culturally rich cities. When you reach Kyoto, you'll meet your guide for a half day tour of Kyoto's main sights. This evening, meet our geisha guide for a walk through the Gion district to spot the elusive geisha on the way to their appointments.

Today is a chance to explore some of the temples further afield with a private guide. Fushimi-inari Taisha Shrine is famous for the tunnels of red Tori gates working their way through the forest and is one of the best sights in Japan. About hour from Kyoto is the ancient capital of Nara where you can find Todai-ji, one of the largest wooden structures in the world, set in beautiful parkland filled with tame deer.
Day 8 Hakone and Mt Fuji
Travel from Kyoto to Hakone. Hakone National Park is known for the open-air art museum, grand views of Mt. Fuji (weather permitting), sulphuric hot springs, and unique forms of transportation (cable car, ropeway, ship and local train). Enjoy your resort this evening and the incredible ryokan experience with kaiseki meals included.
