Day 1 Abel Tasman National Park
Today you will arrive into Auckland. After passing through airport formalities, please make your own way to the Auckland domestic airport (a short walk from the International terminal) and catch your flight to Nelson. Upon arrival in Nelson, please collect your vehicle and make your way to the Stonefly Lodge, near the Abel Tasman National Park, where you will stay for the next three nights.
Day 2 Abel Tasman National Park
Today spend the day fishing in one of the best spots in New Zealand. Your guide will provide all the necessary gear, and you will head out to a local river to spend the day taking in the quiet surroundings and catching a variety of trout.
Day 3 Abel Tasman National Park
Day 4 Twizel
This morning, make your way to the Nelson airport and drop your vehicle at the depot, before your flight to Christchurch. Upon arrival into Christchurch, please collect your vehicle and make your way towards Mount Cook National Park. Spend two nights along the shores of Lake Pukaki, exploring the Mackenzie Basin.
Day 5 Twizel
This morning make your way to the Mount Cook Village for your full day kayaking and a hiking tour. You will hike into the Southern Alps, towards the Mueller Glacier, where you will spend the next few hours kayaking on a quiet glacial lake.
Day 6 Ahuriri Valley
Day 7 Ahuriri Valley
Head out for a half day fishing tour on the Ahuriri River, which sits right in front of the accommodation. Your guide will provide all necessary gear and fishing advice for your fishing adventure.
Day 8 Ahuriri Valley
Spend the day at leisure exploring the Ahuriri Valley. We recommend hiring the lodge's e-bikes and adventuring to the Ben Avon station.
Day 9 Glenorchy

Day 11 Glenorchy
Today explore the UNESCO Heritage site of Milford Sound. This morning you will be collected from your accommodation and then fly on a light aircraft from Glenorchy to Milford Sound. Spend the next hour and a half cruising along the fiord seeing the cascading waterfalls and spotting wildlife before flying back to Glenorchy. The rest of the day is open for you explore the Glenorchy region.
