This classic tour of Panama focuses on the country's core, the bustling Panama City and the engineering feat of the canal. A transit of the canal allows you to get close to the enormous super tankers traversing this isthmus. Time is then spent in the Soberania National Park, one of the richest areas of tropical rainforest for birdlife in the world. The trip is complemented with some relaxation time in the Bocas del Toro archipelago before you head home.

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Panama City. Arrive in Panama City today where you will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel in a private vehicle.

Today you will explore Panama's contrasting capital, taking in the remains of the original capital Panama Viejo which was sacked by Henry Morgan in the 1600's and the beautiful colonial quarter of Casco Antiguo.

Today enjoy a partial transit of the Panama Canal, travelling from the Pacific through the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks to Gatun Lake, the canal's watershed.

Take the short transfer to the Soberanía National Park where you enjoy a jungle boat excursion and guided walk on the Pipeline Road.

Fly back to Panama City and spend a final evening in the city.
