Posada del Puente, Arequipa, Peru

This small hotel is situated around 7 blocks from the main square of Arequipa and 15 minutes from the airport. It is located on the banks of the River Chili, in the landscape painter's reserve by the old Puente Grau (Grau Bridge), which joins the City centre with the colonial village of Yanahuara.

The 24 rooms are located in 3 blocks and comprise Standard and Deluxe rooms as well as Junior Suites and one Senior Suite. The standard rooms are mainly located in the original block and are fairly small although perfectly comfortable. Deluxe rooms are in a new block at the far end of the garden as are the Junior Suites. The Senior Suite is located near the banks of the river with good views across the nearby countryside.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant adjacent to reception and there is a nice bar. The walk to the centre of town from the hotel takes around 20 minutes but the major sites and best restaurants are located between the hotel and the central square.

Where possible, we like to offer a range of accommodation for each stop of your trip, chosen by our specialists as some of their favourite places to stay. To help you make the right choice, we give each property a rating based on its facilities and service, but we also look for hotels with distinct character or a location that can’t be bettered.

    Experiences while staying here

The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you’re staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident’s eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area’s inhabitants.
