Beginning in Cuzco and visiting the number of museums and Inca sites around the city puts the scale of the Inca civilisation into perspective before heading in to the stunning Sacred Valley with larger Inca sites, colourful markets and friendly people before heading to the breathtaking Machu Picchu. The trip is complemented by a short yet comprehensive cruise to the Galapagos islands, exploring some of the best visitor sites.

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Lima.

Full day trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit the impressive ruins at Pisac and Ollantaytambo as well as a colourful market. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

Day 9 Galapagos Islands
Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Here you will be met by a representative of your boat who will take you to your awaiting vessels. Afternoon excursions in the Galapagos.
Day 10 Galapagos Islands
Today you'll explore Santiago (James) Island, starting with Buccaneer's Cove, a hiding place for passing pirates and sailors in the 18th and 19th centuries. The cliffs here are clustered with seabirds. In the afternoon, you'll take a moderate guided walk, keeping a lookout for marine iguanas and sea lion colonies, before taking time to swim and snorkel.
Day 11 Galapagos Islands
Today your first stop is at Rábida (Jervis) Island, known for its iron-rich reddish beaches. Here you can snorkel, take short strolls along the beach, and visit a brackish lagoon where flamingos gather. Look out for marine iguanas, mockingbirds and Darwin's finches. In the afternoon you'll hike to the summit of Bartolomé Island before snorkeling or taking a glass-bottomed boat trip. Galapagos Penguins are often seen here.
Day 12 Galapagos Islands
A day in Genovesa, a remote northerly island swarming with birds such as storm petrels, frigate birds and Nazca boobies. You'll climb to the top of the cliffs via the Prince Phillip Steps and take a short guided walk. In the afternoon, there's an optional walk over slightly more demanding terrain, or you can snorkel and swim in the island's calm natural marina.
