Jock Safari Lodge
Jock Safari Lodge, Southern & Central Sectors Kruger National Park, South Africa
The lodge is named after a local legend, Jock of the Bushveld. This canine hero of Sir Percy Fitzpatrick's famous story of courage and loyalty has stirred adventurous souls for a hundred years. Only a select number of guests are accommodated at any time, ensuring that personal service is always a priority of the lodge's ample staff.
Each luxurious suite is designed to give a sense of being alone in, and integrated with, the surrounding landscape. Besides offering wonderful views of the river and waterholes, careful screening by lush trees and reed walls insure guests' privacy. Every suite is elegantly furnished with attention paid to the little comforts that make any Mantis property a memory. Decadent en-suite bathrooms feature romantic Victorian ball and claw baths, 'his and hers' vanities, and personalized toiletries. Linked to the main lodge by meandering walkways, the suites boast private plunge pools, and furnishings reflecting the region's distinctive mix of Zulu, Shangaan and colonial cultures.
Guests can relax at its well stocked bar or enjoy a relaxed chat in the lounge. Meals can be taken in your own suite or at the main lodge with the other guests and rangers.
