Rosie's love for travel and exploration began with a month long trip to South Africa when she was young and since then she has taken every opportunity to discover a new part of the world.
After school she took two years out to travel around the world, revisiting South Africa but also India, Sri Lanka, Australia and Southeast Asia. After completing a BA in Art History, she joined Audley as an India and Sri Lanka specialist, a role she enjoyed for a number of years before moving to the Africa team where she took up a new, exciting challenge in specialising in her favourite destination, South Africa.
Since joining the Africa team at Audley, Rosie has spent a considerable amount of time in South Africa researching the destination for our tailor made programme. Her most recent trip saw her travel in a circular route from Kruger National Park to the Western Cape — along the Garden Route — and then back to Kwa-Zulu Natal.
I'll never forget when…
One of my most memorable experiences during my travels in India was visiting the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai for the 'Going to Bed' Ceremony. As the Brahmin priest's remove Shiva from his sanctum and parade him around the temple, drums are banged, incense is burned and pilgrims chant — an unforgettable taste of vibrant India.
