Pippa's passion for Australia started after a family trip in her teens and after finishing University she was keen to head back and explore more of the 'land down under'. After travelling the east coast, Pippa settled in Sydney for a while, working and living with the locals and enjoying the vibrant city during her spare time.
Her adventure then took her to Kakadu National Park where she had a taste of the real Aussie outback and enjoyed some of the stunning waterfalls and unique wildlife that the Northern Territory had to offer. After a brief trip home for Christmas, Pippa's love for Kakadu took her back there for a second dry season. She then bought a 4x4 and made her way across the notorious Gibb River Road and down the west coast of Australia, passing Perth and into the South West of the region.
Since joining Audley, Pippa has returned to Australia revisiting some of her favourite spots on the east coast as well as Melbourne, Adelaide and Kangaroo Island.
I'll never forget when…
I have had so many amazing experiences in Australia, but I would have to say one of my favourites would have to be diving with sharks near Port Lincoln in the South of Australia.
Despite being in a secure metal cage, prior to getting in the water I was petrified that I would be eaten alive. However, as soon as I saw the surprisingly elegant and beautiful creatures I forgot all about all my inhibitions. The magnificent white sharks moved so gracefully in the water that I almost forgot for a minute how dangerous they can be.
