During her time at university, Holly spent a summer working and travelling in the USA, taking in Florida, Washington and New York State. She had also visited Tanzania — and the world-famous Serengeti National Park — where she had her first experience of a safari.
After university, she began to get itchy feet and the desire to travel once again took hold. It was only through speaking with a friend who worked for Emirates that she realised there was a perfect opportunity for her to live abroad, work and see the world as an air hostess. Now, she had the opportunity to travel extensively through her line of work, covering four continents and over 50 countries. Although only being in a country for 24-48 hours, she made the most of her time exploring the different cultures, cuisine and endless excursions on offer to her.
Holly enjoys adrenaline filled activities wherever possible, from abseiling down Table Mountain in Cape Town, to shark cage diving off the coast of Durban. Consequently, South Africa has become her first choice travel destination.

I'll never forget when…
Towards the end of a trip to Costa Rica I made my way down to the Osa Peninsula. I had been wanting to go on a horse riding activity since I'd arrived so, along with my guide Miguel, who wore no shoes and lived in the forest above the ocean, we set off. Relying on the horses to direct us through the dense jungle maze we suddenly emerged out of the darkness onto a beautiful stretch of beach. Here, the horses knew exactly what to do as they raced along the sand in a bid to out run one another. Scarlet macaws circled us as Miguel climbed trees to retrieve fresh coconuts for us, providing much appreciated refreshments before heading back. It was the perfect ending to a memorable day.
