The travel bug hit Chris from an early age after family holidays visiting various places in Europe, North America and Asia. He has since used any available free time to continue his travels. The passion for travel and experiencing different cultures led him working in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, followed by teaching English in China before ending in a demanding itinerary exploring Southeast Asia.
After working in various management roles in the retail industry for over 15 years he decided to follow his dreams to work in the travel industry and joined Audley as a country specialist — a decision he certainly doesn't regret.
Outside of the office Chris likes to read travel books, getting ideas for his next trip and he recently started learning Greek.

I'll never forget when…
My most memorable experience has to be my walking safari when I stayed at Beho Beho, a stunning safari camp in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. Guided walking safaris here are world-famous and the guides are some of the best in all of Africa. I headed out into the African bush one afternoon with my guides, following in the footsteps of explorer Frederick Courtney Selous, traversing over the varied landscape of the reserve. My guides used their knowledge of recent and existing game-spotting and I certainly wasn't disappointed with my route. I was fortunate enough to see a number of animals including a heard of elephants crossing a river and hippos cooling off in one of the reserve's many lakes. Finishing my walking safari with a chilled sundowner while watching an African sunset, was the perfect ending.
