Jess was born in the Middle East and went to school and university abroad. As a result she has always loved travel and discovering other cultures.
She graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Languages and Business Studies. Travel then called and after exploring Latin America, Australia and India, she joined Audley; returning to Brazil and Peru.
Some of her favourite memories from her travels include trekking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, witnessing the magnificent Iguacu Falls up close, relaxing in hammocks on the idyllic Ilha Grande, playing football with locals in Rio and holding a caiman on a night boat trip. During her time in the Amazon she has seen wildlife such as pink river dolphins, sloths and macaws, and was even lucky enough to spot the elusive jaguar in the Pantanal.
I'll never forget when…
I have now seen the Iguacu Falls twice from both Brazil and Argentina; it was just as breath-taking the second time round.
Not only do you get see the stunning scenery of surrounding mountains, but you also have panoramic views of the falls and rivers. It was such an energetic sensation walking above the waterfalls, being hit by the spray and then reaching the Devil's Throat, where I was absolutely soaked through from the massive showers of water shooting up to the viewing platform.
