M.Y La Pinta
M.Y La Pinta, Galapagos Islands, Galapagos Islands
Named in Spanish after the remote island of Abingdon in the north west of the Galapagos archipelago, La Pinta is a 207 foot motor yacht which has been extensively renovated especially for Galapagos expedition cruises. Despite being a relatively large vessel, La Pinta accommodates just 48 passengers in 24 spacious and beautifully appointed suites with large picture windows.
It has been designed to cater for the most discerning travellers, offering high standards of service and food whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Activities like snorkelling, swimming, whale and dolphin watching and island walks are led by experienced naturalist guides and the evenings include lectures and discussions on the animals to be seen the next day. The boat also offers its guests a library, e-mail (extra cost), jacuzzi, small gym and plenty of deck space for stargazing.
